Seoul, South Korea – September 1, 2026 – Global investment firm Carlyle (NASDAQ: CG) today announced the appointment of Jin Hwan Choi as Senior Advisor to the Carlyle Asia advisory team.

In his role, Mr. Choi will work closely with Carlyle Asia’s senior leadership team and investment advisory teams to provide strategic insights on investment opportunities and value creation initiatives for portfolio companies in South Korea and across Asia Pacific. Mr. Choi joins Carlyle’s global network of Senior Advisors that brings sector-specific insights and deep operational expertise to support the firm’s investment and management teams around the world.

Formerly the CEO of Lotte Rental, SK Broadband, ADT Caps, and Hyundai Life Insurance, Mr. Choi is an accomplished business leader who brings more than 30 years of experience leading and transforming businesses across the mobility, telecommunications, security, and financial services sectors in South Korea. He also joins Carlyle portfolio company Chung Ho Group as CEO and President of Crystal Holdings Korea, the holding company of Chung Ho Group. Chung Ho Group comprises Chung Ho Nais, a leading South Korean home and healthcare appliance rental platform, Microfilter, MCM, and Nais Engineering. Carlyle completed its acquisition of Chung Ho Group in August 2026.

Mr. Choi most recently served as CEO and President of Lotte Rental, where he led the company’s growth and strategic repositioning by strengthening its core business, expanding into new business areas, and transforming it into a data-driven mobility platform. Prior to Lotte Rental, he served as CEO of SK Broadband and, before that, led ADT Caps during Carlyle’s ownership of the business, where he helped transform the company into one of Korea’s most successful security service providers. Earlier in his career, Mr. Choi served as CEO of Hyundai Life Insurance and held senior leadership roles at Hyundai Capital. He began his career in strategy and consulting at A.T. Kearney and Bain & Company.
